The new design WUMP-40 pressure mat uses new sensor technology to detect the presence, or absence of a person in bed. The sensor has two modes of operation, edge of bed detection and weight removed from sensor detection area. A miniature control box is stored inside the hypoallergenic, liquid resistant sensor cover. The sensor control box controls alarm signal processing, automatic weight calibration to zero out mattress weight, and alarm radio transmitter. The WUMP-40P31 is a single patient monitoring solution. Additional WUMP-40 sensors can be added for multiple patient monitoring systems. Proven to achieve successful falls management outcomes.
