CTM-2 VOICE ALARM MONITOR
The CTM-2 includes voice recording technology to enable short voice memo’s to be
recorded. The voice message can be triggered for playback from a variety of sensor
devices including; bed occupancy sensor, chair occupancy sensor, floor pressure mat,
magnetic door contacts, PIR (CTM-PIR) or any device producing a volt free output.
BED LEAVING ALARM KIT (CTM-BKIT)
For a person at risk from falls in the home, this kit provides an effective economical
solution. The CTM-2 monitor is used with a CT-3 bed sensor. A message is recorded
“ Don’t get out of bed I will be there to help in a minute”. The sensor is positioned
under the bed mattress or on top of the mattress depending on the type of bed or
persons weight. When the person rises from their bed, the voice monitor plays the
recorded message. The patient is more likely to obey instructions from a relative
or known voice. The CTM-2 also includes an alarm delay selector switch that provides
an option for a 15 minute delay before alarm.
CHAIR LEAVING ALARM (CTM-CKIT)
This kit consists of the CTM-2 voice monitor with a CT-2 chair mat. A message is
recorded for alarm playback “Don’t get out of your chair Dad, I’ll be there in a
minute”. The chair sensor is positioned under the chair cushion or on top of the
cushion depending on chair type. If the person rises from their chair the message
is played back.
Both of these kits have been proven to reduce falls in the home, care homes and hospitals.
ADD A PAGER ALARM (CTM-PAG)
If an alarm is required in another room (carers room) an alarm transmitter with radio
pager can be added (CTM-PAG). When the voice monitor alarm is activated, the recorded
voice message is played to the patient and a signal is transmitted to the alarm pager.
The message may stop the patient from wandering away from their bed or chair giving
the carer time to respond when signalled by the pager.
USE THE VOICE ALARM TO PLAY WARNING MESSAGES OR REMINDERS
The CTM-2 monitor is very versatile and can be used to provide verbal reminders or
warnings. For a person with dementia, the monitor can be used with door contacts
(CTM-DC). A message is recorded “ Don’t let strangers into the house and don’t sign
for anything at the door”. The door contacts are connected with a short cable to
the sensor input of the monitor. When the door is opened the message is played back.
The CTM-2 now incorporates software that will only allow the voice message to be
played one time while the door is open to avoid confusing the patient more. Another
popular use is to use the monitor with door contacts on a fridge or freezer.
USE THE VOICE ALARM WITH THE NEW PIR (CTM-PIR)
The CTM-PIR is another new product from Easylink UK designed to provide movement
triggered playback of voice memo’s. The PIR is connected to the CTM-2 monitor with
a short cable ( two supplied 1 x 300mm, 1 x 3 Metre). The CTM-2 has a selector switch
to choose from sensor pad or PIR. When PIR is selected the monitor responds to signals
from the PIR. The PIR has a three-way switch: Delayed, Off, Instant. When delayed
is selected the PIR will trigger the monitor one time for complete message playback
then locks out any further alarm signals for three minutes.Any movement detected
in the three minutes will reset the delay for a further three minutes. This feature
alone provides dozens of solutions for anti-wander reminders, spoken warnings and
safety messages. The instant alarm provides an output each time movement is detected.
