The products featured on this page provide a means of remote emergency contact using a telephone auto dialler. The alarm signal from each product in use is transmitted to a radio receiver that controls the dialling operations of the dialler. When it is not possible for a caregiver to be with a patient, or a person with a medical condition chooses to live an independent life, these products offer a remote form of contact in response to complications arising from their condition. A person with Epilepsy experiencing a bad fall during a seizure, or a seizure while in bed during the night will result in the telephone auto dialler calling up to six emergency telephone numbers. Caregivers, relatives, neighbours or friends will receive an automatic message that the person is in need of assistance.

The Medpage MP2 will detect nocturnal convulsive seizures. When a seizure is detected a wireless signal is transmitted to the controlling receiver of the auto dialler. The dialler will begin calling the stored emergency contact numbers.

TELEPHONE AUTO DIALLER FOR UK (EAD11+)

The EAD11 is a high specification dialler that will call up to six emergency telephone diallers. Unlike most automated diallers, the EAD11 allows on-line canceling of call operations. This is particularly useful if the first call recipient is able to deal with the emergency. Using a telephone keypad, a couple of button presses cancels calls to other emergency numbers thus freeing up the telephone line so that contact can be made without having to wait for the dialler to complete all calls. Alternatively, if any call recipient cannot attend to the emergency, they can use their telephone keypad to temporarily remove themselves from the call list. The dialler then calls the next number and so on. A controlling radio receiver is included in the price that receives signals from all products shown on this page.

If the user suffers a fall, the sudden jerk or tilt from vertical to a horizontal position triggers a pre-transmission tone. If the alarm is not reset within 30 seconds, the emergency trigger signal is transmitted to the dialler. The dialler then calls the first emergency number. If the first number is unobtainable, the dialler will call the next number and so on. The dialler calling sequence can be cancelled on-line using the telephone keypad.
