SPEECH AID - MESSAGE RECORDER & PLAYER WITH ALARM CONTROL FUNCTIONS
The CTM-1 has a built in memo recorder allowing up to 30 seconds of speech to be recorded. A person with speech impairment can use the monitor to play back simple recorded messages at the touch of a button. Useful for speech playback over the telephone to inform a relative or caller that everything is OK. The message is recorded via a built-in microphone and will remain in the recorder memory until a new message is recorded, even if the batteries are removed.
The CTM-1 is a multi-function product and includes the following features-options:
The CTM-1 is equipped with a socket that allows other devices to remotely control the voice announcement. A door opening switch (magnetic proximity switch) for example, can be used to activate the voice announcement function to remind a person not to go outside or let strangers into their home without first checking identification. Alternatively, a simple message can be recorded to instruct someone to close a door.
The CTM-1 can be powered by battery (3 x AAA) only or used with an AC power adaptor. A low battery warning flashes blue LED’s to advise battery replacement.
The CTM-1 has additional alarm functions including, standard tone alarms with volume adjustment and silent mode. An output socket via a 1 amp relay provides a normally open going closed on alarm signal. An alarm delay switch provides a 15 minute delay before the alarms operate. If a closed alarm is applied to the input socket (3.5mm mono jack socket) then opened, the alarm delay timer counts towards 15 minutes. If the contacts remain open, the alarm output(s) become active and will need to be cancelled by pressing the reset button. If the contacts are re-closed within 15 minutes, alarms are cancelled but two red LED’s will flash until the reset button is pressed. Useful delayed alarm timer.
